Having set up a temporary theatre of hope in the Calais refugee camp, Good Chance are delighted to be pitching their Dome on Festival Terrace at the Southbank Centre in London this summer. Sanjar Qiam brings his childhood memories of long days running kites down the dusty streets of Kabul to this workshop as part of Good Chance’s Encampment. Drawing on ancient Afghan methods and using the simplest materials, try your hand at building your own kite. But ultimate success is determined by the passion of the fliers and the whims of the wind… Runtime: 4pm-5pm. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed.
