Good Chance's Encampment: Apow!

Embrace cultural diversity and become a world citizen

Having set up a temporary theatre of hope in the Calais refugee camp, Good Chance are delighted to be pitching their Dome on Festival Terrace at the Southbank Centre in London this summer. A project supported by Refugee Youth, Apow! – Amazing People Of The World – is made up of young people from all over the planet. They use art, music, poetry, film making, photography and dance to build an inclusive community of friendship and belonging. In so doing, preconceptions and prejudices give way to a positive and participatory culture that’s full of surprises. At this event you can join the performers and get involved in the creative process. Apow! has been in residence at Southbank Centre before: when the stage play adaptation of Benjamin Zephaniah's book Refugee Boy came to London, and at events connected with the Adopting Britain exhibition. Runtime: 11.00am - 2.00pm. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets", but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
