Good Chance's Encampment: Good Chance/No Chance

Play a board game that tells human stories…

Having set up a temporary theatre of hope in the Calais refugee camp, Good Chance are delighted to be pitching their Dome on Festival Terrace at the Southbank Centre in London this summer. Good Chance/No Chance is a fun and gripping game designed to engage our empathy and develop our understanding of the life-changing decisions forced upon others. Come and throw a dice, make choices, and get dealt a card you didn’t expect. This is a playful way of looking at the severe reality of forced displacement. The game was created by inhabitants of the Calais refugee camp, in collaboration with Good Chance, and is now presented as part of Encampment, a space of welcome and expression housing a daily programme of events to reinvigorate the dialogue on displacement and asylum. Runtime: 8:30pm-10:00pm. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets", but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
