This new play from Jack Shepard is set against the backdrop of the French and American revolutions. Thomas Paine flees from a mob through the streets of Lambeth. Eventually he escapes to the garden of William Blake and his wife Catherine, where he finds them hanging out in a tree, reading Paradise Lost and talking to angels – talk about a power couple. It's a charming production that considers a historic meeting between two powerful and opposing minds.
