Whether you're hoping to design your own fashion collection or simply want to reinvent your wardrobe, pattern cutting is an invaluable skill. This practical workshop, which is divided into two blocks, covers everything from skirt patterns to bodices. Master these skills and you’ll be well on your way to designing your own outfits. 1. The Bodice block: Working with a bodice block you will learn about darts, and how to manipulate these into different designs and shaping. You'll also cover creating a princess line bodice, and many other designs. 2. Skirt block: Working with a skirt block, you will learn how to add flare, using the methods learned previously. You'll create a skirt pattern in your own size, to take home with you. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
