Jake Yapp: One In A Million

Jake Yapp is one in a million

You’re special. You’re worth it. You. Yeah, You! In this brand new show One In A Million, Jack puts forward the idea that we’re not as unique as we think we are. Big business is constantly telling us we’re special, but how can that be true when they’re selling us mass-produced goods? Does it matter if we’re not unique? Does it matter if we think we are? Jake thinks it does, and looks at how it shapes our world today, illustrating his theory with Bargain Hunt, fixies, sex in World War Two, Guess How Much I Love You, Putin, Trump, ISIS, every Edinburgh show there’s ever been, Len Goodman, and Adam Curtis, whose documentaries he reduces down to two minutes. And, after reading up on some 80-year-old psychological theory, concludes that the solution to our modern malaise might just be if we popped off somewhere and had a quiet word with ourselves. Recommended for ages 16 and over. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
