It's James Brown's birthday today. The Godfather Of Soul, the Grandmaster Of Funk himself, would be turning 84. To celebrate, the Jazz Cafe are throwing a big ol' party. Billed as the Funk Heavy Bout Of The Year, it's Mr Brown vs Parliament Funkadelic in a battle to be crowned the funkiest. The Reel Deal Band will be laying down the funk lines, with special guests Angelo Starr, Myles Sanko, Nathan Watson, and more bustin' out the good times. General admission. Over 18s only.
