Jazz At Carnegie Hall

Stunning big band jazz in a superb concert hall

In recent years the Jazz Repertory Company has presented sell out concerts at Cadogan Hall and around the UK, recreating the famous Benny Goodman Carnegie Hall concerts of 1938 and 1939 (where he would share the stage with Glenn Miller). In this new production, Cadogan Hall turn their attention to many of the great names in jazz history who have performed in America’s most famous concert hall, beginning in 1912 with the extraordinary sounds of the almost all but forgotten star of early jazz, James Reese Europe. They’ll also be featuring big band music from, amongst others, Louis Armstrong, Woody Herman and Stan Kenton, concluding with Miles Davis and Gil Evans on stage in the ’60s (a teaser for their Miles Davis and Gil Evans show for the London Jazz Festival in November 2017). Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted. Please note that upon arrival you'll be allocated the best available ticket with a face value of either £36, £28 or £23.
