Head to East London's most adored cocktail bar - Ruby's in the heart of Dalston to catch some amazing live jazz, with live paintings from Jonathan Ellis. Neville Malcolm is one of the most in-demand bass players in the country. Known as ‘Level-Neville’, he is an understated star on both acoustic and electric bass, combining an earthy, soulful feel with effortless technical ability. ​ He has performed all over the world and recorded with Billy Cobham, Gabrielle, Tom Jones, Carl Orr, Alex Wilson, Nathan Haynes, Marlene Shaw, Dave Valentin and Jack DeJohnette. Most recently he has been touring and recording with two of the world’s best known jazz crossover groups, Incognito and Us3. ​ On the night Neville is joined by some of his favourite guest musicians on drums, piano, brass and vocals who are some of the most respected on the London jazz circuit. As per usual for all of our special events we will have live artworks from Jonathan Ellis, and the evening is hosted by the wonderful Mr. DJ Jazzie Geoffrie getting you warmed up, and filling all the breaks.
