Jonathan Roozeman: Youngest Winner Of The Tchaikovsky Competition

Classical music from a classical prodigy

How much had you achieved by the age of 17? Most of us were lucky to have got a few GCSEs under our belts by that age. Not Jonathan Roozeman: the Finnish-Dutch cellist was the youngest prize winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition at the fresh-faced age of just 17. Now he's performing with his pianist father at the home of string instrument specialist Florian Leonhard, ahead of a performance at the coveted Naumburg Competition in New York. There will be a pre-concert champagne reception with finger food prior to the concert. This is how music should be experienced. Over 12s only. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
