What is it?

Fluffy slippers at the ready: we’re putting on a bunch of cosy events for Comfort Fest 2022. This is kimchi fermentation with award-winning Lorraine Liyanage of South London Ferments, and she really knows her stuff. For just £10, you’ll get stuck into making the Korean staple, learn about its gut health boosting properties and nab some great recipes too. There’s no previous experience required, and everything you’ll need to get started is provided when you arrive. Then you’ll take home your fermenting baby in your very own jar, ready to pop on top of a steaming bowl of rice a week later (or just to eat straight from the jar, let’s be honest).

• Your ticket is valid for one entry to a Kimchi fermentation workshop with South London Ferments at IKEA Croydon on Tuesday November 22.
