The English National Opera have got an awesome lineup this season, all staged in the stunning surroundings of the London Coliseum. Catch the powerful story of Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, which follows the extra-marital affairs of a provincial merchant's bored wife – seeking solace and excitement, we instead see her downfall. Sex, violence, murder and adultery reach a powerful climax in this 20th-century opera.
Dmitri Tcherniakov – one of the most in-demand directors currently working in opera – directs a fantastic cast, including soprano Patricia Racette, and British tenors John Daszak and Peter Hoare.
