The foundation has been accepting submissions since 1955, with a record-breaking 5,574 photographers entering this year's event. Suffice to say that every single image that made the cut is a stunner, detailing frontline news and sporting stories from around the world. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed.
