Lefto's ability to juggle effortlessly from crate diggers’ nuggets to hip hop and next-level bass music will ensure that this is a night that combines cutting edge beats with tunes that are guaranteed to make you move. Lefto has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s foremost tastemakers, this bearded early-riser is consistently a couple of steps ahead of your average early adopter. He doesn’t wait for the next thing to land on his lap, he actively seeks it out; just take a peek at one of his 580 shows on Belgium’s foremost national radio station Studio Brussel which received compliments from Rough Trade Shops, Gilles Peterson and featured on MTV Hive. His deep roots in jazz made him a natural for a Blue Note remix album, but the label he’s most closely affiliated with since its inception is Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings. Lefto has been resident for the Worldwide Festival in Sète, France and in Singapore and has his own stage at the Dour Festival. East London‘s primary warehouse space Shapes will provide the perfect backdrop for Lefto to show of the prodigious talent that has made him one of the most well respected beat mixing talents in the world.
