London Irish Fictions

An Irishman's view of the big smoke

Tony Murray studies different experiences of Irish migration, exploring how our city life looks through Irish eyes. Tonight he'll be discussing all the works of literature he's studied, including a look at John Healy's autobiography The Grass Arena. Healy's tale is one of addiction, time behind bars using chess as escapism and a search for peace of mind. These are some really spectacular stories retold by a literary legend. This event is free, but entry is guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
