Get settled in for a series of seriously jazzy jazz events. The Jazz Repertory Company has built a reputation for putting on some of the capital's best live jazz, and with this series it's easy to see why. From Jools Holland associate Pete Long to Ronnie Scott's big band singer Georgina Jackson, they've blended ambitious programmes with world-class performers for a series like no other. Programme: 18 November: - 1956 was a great year for jazz with many wonderful albums released – in this concert The Jazz Repertory Company will be revisiting five of the very best: Ella Fitzgerald’s Cole Porter Songbook, Count Basie’s April In Paris and The Atomic Mr Basie, Frank Sinatra and Nelson Riddle’s magnificent Songs For Swinging Lovers, and Duke Ellington At Newport. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted.
