London On Film: Number 27 + Glass Of Wine

Monty Python's Michael Palin introduces his film

Miss Barwick has lived at Number 27 for 90 years, but her home now stands in the way of a proposed new development. Andrew Veitch is the man given a week to get Miss Barwick out of her home, by his unscrupulous boss Murray Lester. This film on the dubious practices of property developers was written by Michael Palin and has been undeservedly neglected, remaining unseen since its original screening in 1988. The Python himself – Michael Palin – will introduce the film, along with director Tristram Powell. A complimentary glass of wine or soft drink is included in the price. Please arrive on time as latecomers may not be admitted. Ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine.
