Tonight will be the world premiere of Polish composer Henryk Górecki’s Symphony No 4. Before they get to that, there'll be a careful selection of pieces from Tansman and Stravinsky – composers who knew and inspired each other in real life. And if you've a bit of time earlier this evening, pop on down at 5:30pm for more music and discussions on Górecki before the main event.
Tonight's programme:
- Alexandre Tansman: Stèle in memoriam Igor Stravinsky
- Igor Stravinsky: Violin Concerto
- Henryk Górecki: Symphony No 4 (Tansman Episodes)
Seating allocated upon arrival.
