Make Life Worth Living: Nick Hedges' Photographs For Shelter

'60s pics bring poverty into focus

In 1968, housing and homelessness charity Shelter commissioned Nick Hedges to create a series of works. The documentary photographer captured raw images that depicted the abject poverty that many were living in across Britain. This exhibition brings Hedges' seminal pieces together for the first time now that the 40-year restriction preserving the anonymity of the subjects has been lifted. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny. Open till 6pm.
