Masters Of Wine Making Supper Club

Delectable wines paired perfectly for a stunning three-course dinner

Maze are raising the bar for wine dinners in central London, pairing the playfully innovative food for which they are renowned with elegant wines from one of the most famous names in viticulture. Maze's Rothschild wine tasting supper begins with canapés and a very special champagne: Barons de Rothschild Blanc de Blancs, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes and cellared for at least three years. You’ll then sit down to a starter of scallop ceviche with truffle and yuzu. What wine best matches a blend of European and Asian flavours? Maze have chosen Baroness Nadine Chardonnay, a creamy, rounded white with lingering lemon zest finish from South Africa’s Western Cape. Saddle of Herdwick lamb with spiced aubergine, raw vegetables and toasted hay will be accompanied by Chateau Clarke 2009 from Baron Edmond de Rothschild. This complex, rich blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is perfect for drinking now, and is a wine of superb value, to which you will want to introduce your friends. Of course the meal would not be complete without cheese. Maze's superb farmhouse cheese selection provides a wonderful opportunity to taste Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2006, a premier cru Bordeaux with stunning aromas and a lingering mineral finish. You’ll learn all about these amazing wines, their history, sensory qualities, where and how they are made, plus receive advice on buying, during the masterclass that takes place during dinner. Over 18s only. Valid ID required. Dinner will commence at 7pm. Tickets for this special supper club are £175 per person, excluding service charge.
