MineVention: The Unofficial Convention For Minecraft Fans

The sellout show is making it's way to the UK


Minecraft has seen jaw-dropping success. Beloved by men and women, adults and children alike, it has seen more than 50 million users in six years. MineVention is a convention for fans of the game. Suitable for all of the family, there will be a gaming tournament, the opportunity to meet and greet the YouTube celebrities of the minecraft world, stalls packed full of Minecraft merchandise and talks on computer coding and the role that Minecraft could play in schools. Visitors are encouraged to dress up, and some prizes will be distributed for the best outfits. The perfect event for any of the Craft-crazy among you. You can also join them as they attempt a live Guinness World Record attempt: "The most people dressed as the character Steve from Minecraft". Awesome, right? If you want to help, the following official criteria must be met: - A large pixelated square head with dark brown hair and blue eyes (can be purchased or handmade) - A light blue t-shirt (untucked on the left hand side and in the back) - A pair of blue jeans - You must also carry at least one Minecraft prop, such as a pixelated pickaxe or sword (can be purchased or handmade) Suitable for all ages. Under 14s must be accompanied by a paying adult; children aged 3 or under go free. Disabled Access tickets are available to customers with reduced mobility to allow ease of access to the event.
