Mu Orchestra plays Steely Dan

"A new twist on these classic tunes."

The Mu Orchestra pay tribute to Steely Dan, one of the greatest rock groups of the 70s. While masquerading as a chart-topping rock band, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen of Steely Dan were secret jazz fans. Many of their later tunes were complex, jazz-influenced mini-epics revered today by fans and by rock and jazz musicians alike. In their debut performance, the Mu Orchestra will pay tribute to both sides of the Steely Dan coin, as well as the best of Donald Fagen's solo material. Songs likely to be heard include Do It Again, Haitian Divorce, Black Friday and Rikki Don't Lose That Number. This event will be the Orchestra's debut appearance. They feature Peter Jones (vocals), Matt Telfer (tenor sax), Steve Ashworth (piano), Shura Greenberg (double bass) and Adam Osmianski (drums). Jones has released two critically-acclaimed albums under his own name, while Telfer is a member of both J-Sonics and Blakey's Boys. “A fine collection of swinging jazz” London Jazz News 1) Tickets are non-refundable with 48 Hours of the event. 2) We operate a Check-21.
