Nomad Cinema Outdoor Screening: Little Shop Of Horrors (1986)

B-movie, cult musical, gold

How many ways are there to see a movie? Well, when you add movie magicians The Nomad Cinema into the conversation, the possibilities are endless. Nomad Cinema have no fixed home: they journey from venue to venue, always finding fresh pastures to screen cult classics and old favourites. For this one, grab a complimentary glass of fizz and get ready for the 1986 cult musical, Little Shop Of Horrors. Seymour, played by Rick Moranis, is a poor florist's assistant. He is bored by his mundane life until, one day, he allows his craving for fame and fortune to seduce him into playing nursemaid to a man-eating plant, Audrey II. The succulent proves such an attraction that business is soon booming at Mushnik's flower shop. But despite Seymour's care, the plant wilts, until accidentally he discovers that this hardy perennial has a rather unusual and voracious appetite…as poor Seymour grows weaker, the growing plant demands more, more, more. With fantastic performances from comedy giants including Steve Martin as a sadistic dentist, Bill Murray as his masochistic patient, and John Candy as a wacky radio host, Little Shop Of Horrors is musical comedy gold. Certificate: PG. Runtime: 1 hour 41 minutes.
