Pablo Heras-Casado conducts a trio of Russian masterpieces


Beginning with Shostakovich's joyous Festive Overture, the orchestra then speeds into Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. Initially deemed 'unplayable', the music dazzles with unexpected twists and turns in the hands of virtuoso violinist Gil Shaham. In the second half, Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony is filled with brilliant solos, ominous percussion and triumphant melodies. Over 7 years only. Tickets booked within the same transaction will be sat together. Tickets are allocated by the Philharmonia Orchestra. It is not possible to select your own seat.
