Founded in 1945, the Philharmonia have become known as one of the UK's best orchestras. Tonight, principle conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen leads them through the music of the acclaimed Finnish composer Sibelius. This classical master created some of the most influential music of the 20th Century, and his Violin Concerto is a beautiful example that will not disappoint. Superstar Lisa Batiashvili is violin soloist tonight and Olivier Latry takes on the organ.
