Tugan Sokhiev has been conducting since his teens, studying under the tutelage of Ilya Musin. Tonight, he leads the Philharmonia through Stravinsky's The Firebird. The folkloric world of Russia is captured in this performances, which see these reflections on the magical Phoenix come to life. The orchestra also performs Ravel, Debussy, and Fauré.
