Join PopUp Painting for a night of painting and wine inspired and themed around the work of Frida Kahlo. No experience is needed to take part. With a wine glass in one hand, and a paint brush in the other, follow along as their expert artist facilitator guides you. Don’t feel you have to follow along though – it’s your canvas and you’re of course free to paint whatever you like! Your experience will include all art supplies (including paint, aprons and canvas), a themed playlist and artist facilitation. For this event, proceeds go towards the Misión México charity. Misión México provides a loving, secure home for children of all ages who have been abused, neglected, orphaned or abandoned. The number of children in our care changes constantly, but on average we care for between 40 and 50 children on a permanent basis. Since established in 2001 by Australian couple Pam and Alan Skuse, Misión México has helped transform the lives of more than 250 children, giving them a much deserved second chance at life. Pam and Alan work tirelessly to create a family home rather than an institution, where the children feel loved and secure. All the children attend school, something most of them had not experienced before, as well as having full access to healthcare and extra-curricular activities such as surfing, football, ballet and art. PopUp Painting will donate £8 from each ticket sale to the charity. Ticket includes all art supplies, one glass of wine or cocktail and a donation to charity.
