Press Play Outdoor Screening: Risky Business

Teen flick featuring a 19-year-old Tom Cruise

The Press Play rooftop summer series wouldn't be complete without returning to Broadway House. The intimate rooftop space provides a unique setting to enjoy a classic film whilst taking in the London Skyline. BBQ food, drinks and Pops (the world’s first champagne ice lolly) will be on offer from 7pm; and, as always, you'll receive a free bag of Propercorn with every ticket. Tonight, Press Play will press play on Paul Brickman's '80s teen flick Risky Business. This is the film in which 19-year-old Tom Cruise dances around his living room in his underwear. He does this in celebration of being home alone after his parents head off on holiday. However, after deciding to hire a high-class call girl called Lana (played by the brilliant Rebecca De Mornay), things quickly take a turn for the worse. Risky Business is a sharp, funny examination of teen angst in '80s America – a definite must see. "De Mornay does sterling work as the helpful hooker, but this is Cruise's big chance, and he relishes it, putting in a believable and likeable performance." – Film4 "Good '80s teen movie with a suitable soundtrack and the loveable Cruise displaying his new found starry confidence." – Empire Certificate: 18. Valid ID required. Runtime: 1 hour 35 minutes.
