The Press Play rooftop summer series wouldn't be complete without returning to Broadway House. The intimate rooftop space provides a unique setting to enjoy a classic film whilst taking in the London Skyline. BBQ food, drinks and Pops (the world’s first champagne ice lolly) will be on offer from 7pm; and, as always, you'll receive a free bag of Propercorn with every ticket.
Tonight’s screening is Danny Boyle's 2000 thriller, The Beach. Based on Alex Garland's best-selling novel, a baby-faced Leonardo DiCaprio plays twenty-something Richard, a backpacker travels to Thailand to find himself. This sounds like a very familiar story, but this is not a tale about cocktails in buckets and full moon parties. After a strange map comes into his possession in equally strange circumstances, he finds his way onto a beach paradise inhabited by a traveller commune who are totally loving life. Of course, this tropical bliss can't last, can it?
