Press Play Outdoor Screening: The Princess Bride

A magic film set in stunning surroundings

The Press Play rooftop summer series wouldn't be complete without returning to Broadway House. The intimate rooftop space provides a unique setting to enjoy a classic film whilst taking in the London Skyline. BBQ food, drinks and Pops (the world’s first champagne ice lolly) will be on offer from 7pm; and, as always, you'll receive a free bag of Propercorn with every ticket. Tonight's offering is Rob Reiner and William Goldman's 1987 fantasy, The Princess Bride, starring Robin Wright and Cary Elwes. Return to a time when men were men and swamps were swamps. A delightfully postmodern fairy tale, The Princess Bride is a deft, intelligent mix of swashbuckling, romance and comedy that takes an age-old damsel-in-distress story and makes it fresh. "The Princess Bride... treats children with respect, allowing them an adult sense of humour but also a childlike sense of the fantastic too." – The Guardian "As you watch this enchanting fantasy, feel free to be thrilled or to giggle, as you wish." – Time Doors open at 8pm; film starts at sunset (around 8:30pm). We would recommend bringing a jumper, rug, pillow, anything to keep you warm and snug. No refunds are accepted unless the event is cancelled.
