Psychology At The Movies Presents: Experimenter + Q+A

Psychology and Experimenter collide

Regent Cinema – Britain's oldest cinema – was the first place in the country to ever show moving pictures, kickstarting British cinema with a screening of Cinematographe in 1896. Since its reopening in May 2015 the staff have been dedicated to both engaging with the cinemas legacy and ensuring its future, for audiences and filmmakers. Receiving its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, this fascinating true story of Jewish psychologist Stanley Milgram, and his groundbreaking ‘Obedience Experiments’ in 1961, features brilliantly pitched performances from Winona Ryder and Peter Sarsgaard. Following the screening there will be a Q & A/debate session putting the film under the scrutiny and analysis of psychologists and therapists. Certificate: 15. Valid ID required. Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
