Regent Street Cinema Presents: Room

Enjoy the Oscar nominated new release at Britain's oldest cinema

Take a step into British cinematic history at the Regent Street Cinema. Britain's oldest cinema, it was the first place in the country to ever show moving pictures. It kickstarted British cinema with a screening of Cinematographe in 1896. Now, you can catch a special screening of the Oscar nominated new release Room. Held captive for years in an enclosed space, a woman (Brie Larson) and her 5-year-old son (Jacob Tremblay) finally gain their freedom, allowing the boy to experience the outside world for the first time. Room is several things by turn: creepy, frightening, exhilarating and then frightening and exhilarating all over again. – LA Times "A soul-stirring feel-good weepie." – The Times Certificate: 15. Running time: 1 hour 53 minutes.
