Charles Dutoit returns to direct the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme of thrilling works, including Orff’s choral masterpiece Carmina Burana. This work is famed for its incredible beauty, with moments of dramatic intensity alongside magical stillness​ and splendour. The evening's programme also includes Beethoven's The Creatures Of Prometheus Overture and Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto – one of the most adored in the repertoire.
