Screening: Dangerous Acts Starring The Unstable Elements Of Belarus + Q&A

A glimpse at Belarus and the people risking everything to change it

When Belarus was governed by Europe’s last dictator, Alexander Lukashenko, filmmaker Madeleine Sackler followed the trials and tribulations of an underground theatre company in the run up to, and after, the 2010 presidential election. Although post-election demonstrations were violently crushed, the seed was planted for a year of political unrest, and the theatre company moved abroad to use theatre convey their message from Belarus. The post-film discussion is held via Skype with Madeleine Sackler herself. General admission.
