Settling Scores: The Media, The Police + The Miners’ Strike

Settling Scores is a new collection of essays published for the 30th anniversary of the miners’ strike. Tonight, BBC correspondent Nick Jones is talking about information he’s found in recently published cabinet papers, including files the government would rather keep hidden. Plus media campaigner and journalist Tony Harcup is analysing the controversy surrounding the TV coverage of Orgreave in 1984. They're looking at how the media, politicians, and police redrafted recent history. General admission. This event is ticketed, but we've managed to nab entry for free. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets", but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
