Shuffle Film Festival: Dirty Pretty Things + Shuffle Short Film Finalists

A London-based crime drama to make you shake

Shuffle Festival is an annual event which aims to build a more integrated community presence through art, comedy, music, food and film. Taking place in The Horse Chestnut Glade, tonight's screening is of 2002's London-based crime drama, Dirty Pretty Things. Okwe (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a kind-hearted Nigerian doctor, and Senay (Audrey Tautou), a Turkish chambermaid, work at the same West London hotel. The hotel is run by Sneaky, a man who undoubtably lives up to his name, and becomes the setting for drug dealing and prostitution . However, when Okwe finds a human heart in one of the toilets, he uncovers something far more sinister than just a common crime. This film is followed by Short Film finalists from the the Shuffle Film Festival competition. "A dark and revealing movie." – ReelViews "Fuelled by gripping suspense, dark humour and outraged humanity, the film is a modern horror story that means to shake you, and does." – Rolling Stone Certificate: 15. Valid ID required. Runtime: 1 hour 39 minutes.
