Yes, the real Mount Everest. Yes. You could really be heading off to witness the highest comedy gig in the world at the base camp of Earth's tallest mountain. It'll be breathtaking, it'll be beautiful, it'll be hilarious and it'll be in aid of Save The Children. Let's not beat around the…crevasses here. This world record attempt is a potentially life-changing adventure. An epic trip like this comes with many finer details, so be sure to check them over below:
- The £450 deposit secures your place on the trip only
- All further details and transactions will be handled by the organising company, The Aid Fundraiser
- Additional costs are £1,800, which includes the following from Kathmandu onwards: all accommodation, flights and transfers, internal air tax, all meals (except three), and any permits and entry fees required as part of the itinerary
- Costs do not include your travel from the UK to Kathmandu and back, travel insurance, airline fuel supplement if charged, entry visa, tips and international departure tax
- Additionally, you must raise £1,000 in sponsorship for Save The Children
- You'll meet the team at the pre-trek briefing on 6 April at the Kathmandu Guest House
- There'll be several days of hiking included in the journey from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp (at 5,365m above sea level), so a good level of fitness is necessary
- The trip is 18 days long in total
- There will be experienced leaders and doctors present, along with a local support crew of guides, porters and cooks
- This may be the subject of a TV documentary; you consent to being filmed
