In their quest to entertain us, theatre companies dream up increasingly zany ways to rework the classics. Sophocles' Philoctetes is grippingly retold by Jeff James in this anarchic production that brings the Trojan War kicking and screaming into the present way. There's just one small twist in the original tale...the entire production is set in a pool of treacle. Don't ask why: just watch it and gasp.
