Rhythm, blues, and a whole load of tortured genius
The legendary city of Memphis provides the backdrop to a story about myth and madness. Rising star Willis Earl Beal plays a singer on the brink of stardom. But as he loses his path, he finds himself fighting against hustlers, preachers, and beautiful women in this impressionistic film.
