Suspense Festival: Mixed Bill

Unique performances with all the right strings attached

Students from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama are serving up a right treat tonight. Mixed Bill will showcase a selection of their work, combining various forms of puppetry and styles with light-hearted comedy and abstract interpretations. The number of short performances include a section from Down Below (which describes the breakdown of surrealist artist Leonara Carrington at the beginning of the WW2, when Max Ernst was taken to a concentration camp), and satirical cabaret Vetted (which set in a veterinary waiting room, comments on current political and social gossip through animal puppetry). There will also be a free performance of The Fascinator by graduate student Clotilde de Verteuil in the foyer. Over 12s only, although performances are aimed at adult audiences.
