Between the worlds of true-life storytelling, spoken word and poetry, there are those who Tellit Poetically. This is an evening where worlds will collide to delight you with poetic storytelling, as you're swept into the personal lives of poets sharing stories through lyrical lines and rhythmic rhymes. This is one night of poetry you don't want to miss. Lineup: - Toria Garbutt Spoken word artist from West Yorkshire with a punk heritage, a staccato heartbeat and a unique flair for storytelling. - Ray Antrobus Raymond Antrobus is a Jamaican, British poet, performer and hearing aid user, born and bred in East London, Hackney. His work has appeared on BBC Radio 4, The Big Issue, The Jamaica Gleaner, The Guardian and at TedxEastEnd. Sky Arts and Ideas Tap listed Raymond in the top 20 promising young artists in the UK. He is currently one of six poet Laureates for London and a Complete Works III fellow. - Jah-Mir Early Jah-Mir Early is an American poet, storyteller and improv spoken word artist. - Matt Abbott Matt Abbott, founder of spoken word label Nymphs and Thugs, is rapidly establishing himself on the UK spoken word scene. With a unique blend of socio-political commentary and tongue-in-cheek humour, he wins over the toughest of poetry cynics while still packing a political punch. - Sara Hirsch Sara Hirsch is a London based performance poet with punch. She's a multiple slam winner, ranking third in the World Slam Championships 2014, and now runs London's only regular three round slam. Sara has performed across the country and abroad, and has recently premiered her award winning debut solo show How Was It For You? - The evening will be hosted by poet and true-life storyteller, Kate Walton.
