Films and fancy drinks in a flippin' amazing venue

They've come out of the basement at Plastic People and now they've found themselves on the heady heights of Oval Space's terrace. This summer, Behind This Wall are collaborating with Oval Space to deliver a series of exciting and original events for you lovely people, including a number of film screenings. For this event, catch the cult '80s horror film The Fly, directed by master director David Cronenberg and starring Jeff Goldblum. Protagonist Seth Brundle decides to test the abilities of his homemade teleportation device on himself. However, unbeknownst to him, a fly enters the device at the same time, leading to a merger of man and insect. As he becomes increasingly fly-like, Brundle's girlfriend is horrified as the person she once loved deteriorates into a monster. You'll be peeking through your fingers to watch this one. To get you into spirit of things, a complimentary Brundlefly cocktail is included in your ticket. Don't slurp it up too quickly. "What makes The Fly such a stunning piece of obsessive film making is the way Cronenberg deftly allows us to identify with his monstrous creation." – Los Angeles Times "Cronenberg's most triumphant and accessible film to date." – Empire Bar open from 5pm, screening as the sun sets. £1 oyster happy hour and 20% of cocktails 6pm-7pm. Certificate: 15. Runtime: 1 hour 36 minutes.
