The Arab Spring + Its Consequences On The Global South

The revolution that’s been televised

In 2010, the revolutions that would spread throughout the Arab world began in Tunisia. Now known as The Arab Spring, this soon led to the uprising in Libya almost exactly three years ago, eventually resulting in the death of Gaddafi, among many other momentous events. In this panel chaired by Sukant Chandan of the Sons Of Malcolm, you’ll hear from critical and radical voices such as the Aljud Charity and Syrian Social Club – as well as author Dan Glazebrook and political activist George Shire – as they discuss its impact on the bigger picture. General admission. This event is free but ticketed. We need your card details to store the event information in "My Tickets", but rest assured, we won’t charge you a penny. Please note: this event will be filmed.
