The Boat Race: Oxford vs Cambridge

Oxbridge going head-to-head

Beginning in 1829 for men and in 1927 for women, the traditional rowing race between the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge is one of our oldest sporting events and an iconic part of English culture. The four-and-a-quarter mile course runs along the Thames from Putney Bridge to Mortlake, and is a race associated with pride, dignity and honour between the two biggest names in the country's academia. This event is free and entry is on a first come first served basis, so it can't be guaranteed. We need your card details to store the event information in your profile, but rest assured, we won't charge you a penny.
