The Caretaker

Timothy Spall stars in the Harold Pinter play performed at the Old Vic

The Caretaker turned the world of modern theatre on its head when it premiered in 1960. Now, Pinter's groundbreaking work comes to the Old Vic in a new production, directed by Matthew Warchus and starring Timothy Spall, Daniel Mays and George Mackay. Disturbed handyman Aston has invited an irascible tramp to stay with him at his brother’s jumbled London flat. At first it seems that the manipulative guest will take advantage of his vulnerable host. But when Aston’s brother Mick arrives, an enigmatic power struggle emerges between the three men that is in equal parts menacing, touching and darkly comic. From 2003-2015, Kevin Spacey was The Old Vic Theatre Company's artistic director, forever changing the fortune of this iconic London establishment. Now with Matthew Warchus at the helm, it remains an institution synonymous with quality productions. Get on your finest attire and get along to the Old Vic for a night of sheer theatrical bliss. All ticket prices for The Caretaker are inclusive of any booking fees. YPlan will not charge you any additional amounts for your tickets.
