With conflict and political unrest on the increase across the globe, it’s becoming more and more difficult for journalists to gain access and cover stories in a traditional news sense. This talk will explore which new and unconventional means of news gathering are being employed in their place – with user generated content emerging as a major way of getting the story out to the rest of the world.
