The Chicken Shack is back at Paper Dress Vintage for a one off night of the finest '50s and early '60s rhythm and blues, rock and roll, frat rock and surf music. Live bands: Big Al And The Blasting Caps with guests: debut show from a brand new, wild rhythm and blues/rock and roll combo. Inspired by classic blues jumpers Bull Moose Jackson, Tiny Bradshaw and Paul Gayten as well as rock'n'rollers Little Richard, Young Jessie and Nick Curran, The Blasting Caps deliver a modern but retro foot tapping rock'n'roll sound…watch out! The Ponces: rock'n'roll, blues 'n' jazz, Latin exotica, with original lyrical reality, telling truths of life in this modern chaotic world. With the album Songs For Hope About Despair (released on LP and CD on Sub-ver-siv Records) laments London and it's current gentrification issues. The first single Slaughter Of Soho is an edited version from the album, a story of Soho's demise and death. A Jay Wade And The Tennessee No 9: A Jay Wade's honky-tonk sound takes rockabilly back to it's country roots. Just loud enough to stop you thinking too much and go right on ordering the whisky.
