Every week Havana’s nightlife comes to the Forge. Enjoy live music from the best Cuban and Latin musicians in the UK and try your hand (or feet) at salsa – there are even lessons at the start if you want to pick up some dancing tricks. Friday 3 February The composer and producer Osvaldo Chacón has been called "the voice of Timba” and "The Professor” in his native Peru and has played at the best jazz festivals in Europe and Latin America. Friday 10 February Camina Band are a six-piece with an energetic line-up full of positive energy, playing traditional Cuban music with elements of Timba and Salsa. Friday 17 February Nana Y La Esencia, headed by the powerful vocals of Nana Clara, are group of seasoned musicians playing Cuban dance music combining salsa, timba, rumba, son and much more. Friday 24 February Son Yambu play authentic Cuban son, the intoxicating fusion of Spanish & African rhythms that gave rise to salsa and give this irresistible music a contemporary edge.
