The Five Star Burger

A burger feast to raise funds for a great cause

How about two 50-day aged native breed patties from Bleecker St. Burger topped with a trotter Cotechino made by Jackson Boxer, Comté cheese, Impatient Rainbow Pickles from Elly Pear, inside a semi-seeded demi-brioche bun smothered in Tom Hunt’s Salsa Quemada and Aioli, sat beside Bleeckers’s awesome fries and Som Saa’s special fire-y Nam Jim Nam Som chilli sauce? Holy burger-heaven. If that wasn’t enough you will wash it down with Poco Broadway’s Rosemary and Thyme Gin Fizz and enjoy an affogato for dessert, courtesy of Jude’s Ice Cream and TOMS Coffee. Veggies aren’t forgotten, but blessed with an equally monstrous Bleecker deep-fried tofu patty. DJ BBQ will be rocking the decks and calling out our ridiculously good raffle prizes. After the success of last year's event, Tom Hunt, author of ‘The Natural Cook’ and founder of Poco (Observer Food Monthly Best Ethical Restaurant 2013), has invited more of London’s top foodies to join forces and create the ultimate five-star burger at Climpson’s Arch in Hackney for another special fundraising event. TOMS shoes are kindly sponsoring the event, helping to raise money for Action Against Hunger. Other ingredients of sublime quality have been kindly donated by La Fromagerie, Boulangerie de Paris and Boxer Gin.
