You know whens someone asks you what kind of music you like, and it is just impossible to answer in one succinct sentence? Well, Paris-born, London-based singer-songwriter Florence Joelle has the same problem. She was raised on jazz and grew up surrounded by the music of the Paris streets - the Gypsy art of Django Reinhardt, bal musette and North African rai. Later, Florence started collecting rock’n’roll, doo-wop, Latin jazz, and early blues. Her music draws from all these influences, carving out a unique sound that, although deeply rooted in the past, vibrates in the present. Expect her own songs showcased alongside sassy adaptations of jazz and rock'n'roll classics. Dress code: smart casual.
